Carolee Schneemann’s videos Meat Joy (1964; re-edited 2010), Body Collage (1967; currently on view at The Whitney Museum as well), and Up To and Including Her Limits (1976) are now on view at 47 Canal!

Schneemann’s films are included in Electronic Arts Intermix in Residence, curated by Trevor Shimizu on the occasion of his 6th solo exhibition at 47 Canal. Shimizu’s selection of videos from EAI’s collection speak to his interest in the limitations and potential of the body in relation to painting, including works by Paul McCarthy, Carolee Schneemann, and Bruce Nauman.

Schneemann’s videos will be on view in the exhibition through October 14th.
